Custom closets, wardrobes, garage systems and built-in storage for homes across Woodbridge Township — Colonia, Iselin, Fords, Avenel, Sewaren, Port Reading, Hopelawn, Keasbey, Menlo Park Terrace and Woodbridge proper.
We are a Woodbridge closet company in the practical sense: design, manufacture and installation handled by one team. Whether it is a full closet remodel, a straight closet installation in a room that was never fitted out properly, or a complete closet system for a new primary suite, we measure it, build it and fit it ourselves.
Woodbridge is not one place. It is ten distinct sections with housing from different decades and at very different price points, which means there is no single Woodbridge closet. An expanded colonial in Colonia and a 1950s cape in Fords need opposite things. We measure every space before proposing anything, and that matters more here than in most towns. See how the process works.

The Reach-In Closet Is the Woodbridge Project
Most of the township was built between the 1940s and the 1970s, in an era when a bedroom closet meant a single rod, one shelf above it, and a pair of bifold doors that never fully opened. That description fits capes in Fords, ranches in Menlo Park Terrace, split-levels in Avenel and a good share of Colonia. It is the most common storage problem in Woodbridge by a wide margin.
It is also the cheapest to fix well. A builder closet of that kind typically uses less than half its own volume: the space above the shelf is dead, the floor becomes a shoe pile, and a single rod wastes the vertical run entirely. Replacing it with double-hanging sections, a drawer tower and adjustable shelving usually doubles what the same footprint holds, without moving a wall or borrowing a square inch from the bedroom.

Storage by Woodbridge Section
Colonia
Oak-lined streets, expanded colonials and split-levels on generous lots — and the word that matters there is expanded. Woodbridge's most valuable homes have usually been added to at least once, and additions rarely leave tidy geometry behind. Closets end up deep but narrow, or wide with a structural post in the middle, or tucked under a stair run from the original footprint. Stock closet kits assume a rectangle; a system cut to measured dimensions uses the awkward bays an addition creates instead of stopping short of them.
Fords, Hopelawn, Keasbey and Port Reading
The township's most affordable sections: capes, ranches, split-levels and dense pockets of modest singles and two-family homes. Two constraints show up repeatedly. Cape cod second floors have knee walls and sloping ceilings that defeat every stock kit on the market, and that low run along the eaves becomes drawers and pull-outs once a system is built to the actual angles. Two-family homes, meanwhile, have no shared overflow space at all — whatever each unit holds, it holds within its own walls, so height and drawers do the work a basement would otherwise do.
Iselin and Menlo Park Terrace
Mid-century capes and ranches, and a large share of multigenerational households. More people living in a house built for fewer changes the brief: the question stops being how to store one wardrobe well and becomes how to give three or four people their own defined space in rooms that were not designed for it. Separate hanging zones, individually assigned drawer banks and full-height cabinetry are what make that work. Metropark is here too, which brings the commuter considerations below.
Avenel, Woodbridge proper and Sewaren
Walk-to-train living around Woodbridge and Avenel stations, plus newer construction at Station Village and a small waterfront village at Sewaren on the Arthur Kill. The newer apartments and townhomes have the same problem every new build has: generous room dimensions and a wire shelf. Sewaren's waterfront position also puts humidity on the list — our systems are built from polyester-wrapped MDF rather than raw timber, which stays considerably more stable through damp summers and dry heated winters.
Closets That Work Before the 6:12
Woodbridge is a rail town. Metropark, Woodbridge and Avenel stations put a large share of the township on a train before most people are awake, and a closet built for that routine is laid out differently from one built for browsing. Work clothing goes at eye level and stays grouped rather than split across the room. Drawers replace deep shelves, because nothing has to be excavated at six in the morning. Shoes get dedicated positions instead of a floor pile. Lighting goes inside the unit, so the room light stays off and the household stays asleep.
Door Styles and Finishes
Every system is finished to your choice of door profile and color. We work with polyester-wrapped MDF moldings and MDF center panels in finishes from Tafisa, Uniboard and American Laminates — eleven distinct door profiles, each available in a wide range of colors, with matching accessory moldings. Corner joints are built with mortise and tenon joinery.

Why Woodbridge Homeowners Work With Us
We design, manufacture and install — no subcontractors, and one point of contact from the first visit to the final walkthrough. Most installations finish in a single day.
We are based in Manalapan and licensed in New Jersey under License No. 13VN14029700. Because every component is cut to your measurements rather than assembled from stock parts, the distance changes nothing about what is possible — the system arrives made for your rooms. More about our team →
How the Process Works
You see the finished design before anything is built. A designer visits your Woodbridge home, measures the space and asks how you use it. We review finishes, door profiles and hardware together, share costs as the design develops, then produce a 3D rendering for you to approve. Once approved, your system is fabricated to those measurements and installed by our team, finishing with a walkthrough.

Woodbridge Custom Closet FAQs
Do you serve all of Woodbridge Township?
Yes — all ten sections, from Colonia and Iselin through Fords, Avenel, Sewaren, Port Reading, Hopelawn, Keasbey, Menlo Park Terrace and Woodbridge proper.
My bedroom closet is tiny. Is it even worth doing?
Usually it is the best value project in the house. A builder reach-in with one rod and one shelf is typically using less than half its own volume. Double hanging, a drawer tower and adjustable shelving commonly double the capacity in the identical footprint.
Can you work with the sloping ceilings in a cape?
Yes, and it is where made-to-order earns its cost. Knee walls and dormer slopes defeat stock kits entirely. Built to measured angles, that low space along the eaves becomes drawers and pull-outs rather than the crawl space full of boxes it usually turns into.
We have several adults sharing the house. Can a closet be divided properly?
Yes, and it is a common brief in Iselin and Menlo Park Terrace. Separate hanging zones, individually assigned drawer banks and full-height cabinetry give each person a defined space in a room that was not originally planned for it.
Do you charge for the consultation?
No. The in-home consultation, the measurements and the 3D design are free, with no obligation to proceed.
How long does installation take?
Most single-room installations are completed in one day. Larger projects are scheduled over several days, with the schedule given in advance.
