Manalapan has an unusually wide spread of housing, from 1980s splits on multi-acre lots to brand new luxury builds and 55-plus condos. Each brings a different problem to solve.
Downsizing into Covered Bridge or Four Seasons
This is the project we are asked about most often in Manalapan, and it is the hardest to get right. Moving from a four-bedroom house into a two-bedroom condo means fitting decades of belongings into a fraction of the space, usually with no basement and no garage to absorb the overflow. The answer is almost never more shelves. It is full-height cabinetry that uses the ceiling, drawers instead of deep shelves so nothing gets lost at the back, and a considered decision about what actually needs to be reachable day to day. We plan these before the move where possible, because knowing what will fit changes what you keep.
Gordons Corner and the Route 9 corridor
The 1980s colonials, split-levels and ranches here sit on half-acre to nearly three-acre lots, with long driveways and generous garages. The houses are solid but the closets are of their era: a single rod, one shelf, and bifold doors that never fully open. These are straightforward wins. Replacing a builder closet with a fitted system typically doubles hanging capacity in the same footprint. The oversized garages are the other opportunity, particularly where a pool means equipment and furniture needing winter storage.
New construction: Heritage, Manalapan Grove and the Hovnanian communities
New homes in Manalapan come with nine-foot first-floor ceilings, two-car garages and, often, an optional finished basement. What they do not come with is a fitted closet. Builder packages leave a wire shelf and a rod in a room that could hold three times as much. The best time to plan is during the build or in the first months after moving in, before boxes get put somewhere temporary and stay there. We work from builder floorplans as well as site measurements.

We work with polyester-wrapped MDF moldings and MDF center panels in finishes from Tafisa, Uniboard and American Laminates — eleven distinct door profiles, each available in a wide range of colors, with matching accessory moldings. Corner joints are built with mortise and tenon joinery.

How the Process Works
You see the finished design before anything is built. A designer visits your Manalapan home, measures the space and asks how you use it. We review finishes, door profiles and hardware together, share costs as the design develops, then produce a 3D rendering for you to approve. Once approved, your system is fabricated to those measurements and installed by our team, finishing with a walkthrough.

This is one of the most common projects we take on in Manalapan. How long does installation take?
Most single-room installations are completed in one day. Larger projects, such as multiple closets or a garage system, are scheduled over several days with the schedule given in advance.
Do you only build closets?
No. Alongside walk-in and reach-in closets we build wardrobes and built-ins, garage storage systems, home office storage, and pantry and linen closets. Many Manalapan projects combine two or three of these.
