First Choice Closets

Custom closets, fitted walk-ins and garage storage across Wall Township — West Belmar capes, Allenwood and Glendola colonials and split-levels, and the homes along the Manasquan River.

Wall Township covers a lot of ground between the shore towns and western Monmouth County, and its houses vary as much as its neighbourhoods. A 1950s cape in West Belmar, a split-level in Glendola and a colonial on half an acre in Allenwood have very different storage problems.

What they share is that the closets were planned for a different household, or barely planned at all. We design storage to the room and the people using it, build it in our workshop and install it, usually in a day. See how the process works.

Capes and Ranches: Small Closets, Big Gains

West Belmar and the older parts of South Wall are full of capes, bungalows and ranches from the 1950s to the 1970s. The rooms are a sensible size; the closets are not. Most are shallow reach-ins with a single rail and a shelf, built when a household owned a fraction of what it does now.

Many of these houses have also been expanded — a dormer, a rear addition, an updated ranch — and the new rooms often arrived with no closet at all.

Rebuilding the inside of an existing closet is the quickest win: double hanging where shirts and jackets need only forty inches, a drawer tower instead of a dresser in the room, and shelving taken to the ceiling. Where there is no closet, a built-in wardrobe creates one. See reach-in closet systems →

Compact walk-in closet with L-shaped shelving and hanging

Allenwood, Glendola and the Larger Lots

Further inland the houses get bigger: colonials, split-levels and custom builds in Allenwood, Glendola and the country-club neighbourhoods, many on half an acre or more. Here there usually is a walk-in closet, and it is usually the least efficient storage in the house.

Builders finish walk-ins with a rail around the walls and one shelf above, which leaves the middle of the room, the height and the space under the clothes empty. Fitting it as a room — double-hang sections, a drawer bank or island where the floor allows, angled shoe shelving and full-height storage — can double its capacity. See walk-in closet systems →

Finishes That Suit the House

There are eleven door profiles and a wide range of finishes, so a closet in a traditional colonial and one in a contemporary build can each look like they belong. See the finishes →

Near the Shore: Garages and Mudrooms That Work

Close to Belmar, Spring Lake and the Manasquan River, a lot of what a household owns is for the beach and the water — chairs, umbrellas, boards, bikes, fishing gear — and most of it ends up on the garage floor.

Wall-mounted systems and overhead racks get it all up and organised by season, so the car fits again. Inside, a mudroom or entry wall with hooks, a bench and cabinets stops sandy bags and shoes from spreading through the house. See garage storage →

Wall Township Custom Closet FAQs

Which parts of Wall Township do you cover?

All of it, including West Belmar, Glendola, Allenwood, Manasquan Park, Old Mill and South Wall.

Our cape has tiny closets. Is it worth fitting them?

Yes — small closets gain the most. Double hanging, a drawer tower and shelving to the ceiling typically double what a single-rail reach-in holds, without making it any bigger.

Our walk-in is big but always full. Why?

Most walk-ins are finished with one rail around the walls and a shelf above, which wastes the height, the middle and the space under the clothes. Fitting it properly often doubles the capacity.

Can you organise a garage full of beach and sports gear?

Yes. Wall systems and overhead racks get chairs, boards, bikes and tools off the floor and grouped by season, so the car fits again.

Do you charge for the consultation?

No. The in-home consultation, measurements and 3D design are free, with no obligation.

How long does installation take?

Most single-room installations are completed in one day. Larger projects are scheduled over several days, with the schedule agreed in advance.
